Yes, all of our chocolate bars and squares are gluten-free.
Some of our chocolate novelties do contain gluten, including our XOs (Chocolate Covered Oreo), Milk Chocolate Peanut and Pretzel Bark and Crispy Praline Filled Chocolate. If you have a severe allergy, we recommend staying away from our barks and filled chocolates.
Are your products Kosher?
Yes, our organic chocolate bars and squares are certified Kosher Dairy.
I have nut allergies. Can I take your tour?
Our longer tour includes samples of cacao pulp, cacao nibs, cacao liquor and shots of warm liquid chocolate. All of these items are nut free.
At the end of the tour, you are able to select three tastes from our chocolate case (filled chocolates and barks). Many of these products do contain nuts. We’re more than happy to swap these items for chocolate squares, which are nut-free.
Do you have dairy-free/Vegan chocolate?
Yes, we do. All of our dark chocolate is made without dairy, so all dark chocolate bars, squares, and barks are absolutely fine.
Please be cautious if you have severe dairy allergies though. Our molding facility also molds milk chocolate, so trace elements may be present in all of our products.
Most of our filled chocolates do contain dairy.
Is all of your chocolate made from the bean?
Yes, it is. Our factory in Irvine makes the vast majority of our chocolate recipes. As we grow and develop new products, it’s sometimes necessary to work with trusted manufacturing partners for production of some of our specialty chocolate products. We are always directly involved with cacao bean selection, selection of roasting profiles and final production specifications. Our production processes and standards remain the same whether the product is produced in our Irvine, CA facility, our Vancouver, BC facility or from one of our manufacturing partners. Our passion is, and always will be, extraordinary chocolate.
Where are you headquartered?
We’re proud to be based in beautiful Orange County, California. Our Irvine factory is the hub of all things ChocXO. We’re excited to be a part of the food renaissance happening in Orange County right now.
Our sister company, Chewters Chocolates, is the Canadian branch of ChocXO in Canada. We work together to develop our extraordinary products. We’ve got roots in both OC and Vancouver, making us a true North American chocolate company.
What’s a sister company?
We share the identical ownership structure, so basically we have the same parents.
If you work at ChocXO, do you eat chocolate all day long?
